Considerate: Friendship Quilt Along

Here we are again, celebrating the Friendship Quilt Along.  This time our friendly word is Considerate.

This was a fun block to make and I really like that the points are “floating”.  Why?  Because when it comes time to put the quilt together you won’t need to worry about those points at all while you’re seaming!

I choose my fabrics and gathered what I needed to make these two sweet blocks. (Again using fabric from my new line due out in only a few weeks…“With a Twist”)

Once I had the little squares pinned in place, I was ready to stitch.  What’s great about using the Clearly Perfect Angles, is that I didn’t have to draw any lines.  It sure speeds up piecing. Secretly, I sort of enjoyed crossing out the instructions where it said to draw lines with a red marker!

The piecing was quick with very little matching needed. And why I didn’t take a picture of the circle applique being made is beyond me!  But, here’s a link to a tutorial I did awhile back on how to turn those edges for a smooth circle.

I’m pleased with how these turned out!

I know many of you are familiar with the super popular Slotted Trimmers and just wanted to put a little blurb in here that they’re now (finally) back in stock!! Questions…please let me know.

How are you doing with the quilt along? Keeping up?  I hope you’re doing better than I am!
Don’t forget to follow along on social media to see all the blocks being made:  #friendshipqal and #hellolovelyqal

Until next time, Friends!
