Another branch of New Leaf Stitches

A lot going on

So, so thankful and feeling blessed!

Please indulge me as I share all that has been going on.

Let’s start with work (if you can call what you enjoy doing work).

The Clearly Perfect Angles has been getting some nice press lately.

American Patchwork and Quilting’s 20th Anniversary Issue is now out.  They have articles on 20 blocks, 20 techniques, 20 designer tips.  You get the idea.  One of the features is titled, “20 items every sewing room should have” and there it is:  the CPA right on a sewing machine!  Yippee!

The spring issue of Quiltmaker came a few days ago and what did I find on page 13?  Yep, the Clearly Perfect Angles!

One thing that took me by surprise and makes me feel very honored, is being nominated in several categories for the Golden Quilters Awards. When I see the other nominees it makes me feel very humble to even be mentioned.  My goal:  not to come in last.  LOL

Twice as  Nice: Quilts with Scrap-Saving Bonus Projects: Best Quilt Book 2012

And I was nominated in two other categories: Best Quilt Book Author and Best Teacher/Instructor

So, to help me reach my goal…please pop over and vote.  I’m going to need all the help I can get.     🙂

Awhile back I taped a radio segment with Pat Sloan.  It will air on March 4th.  She is always a pleasure to visit with.

I’ve actually gotten in a little time with my Bernina too.  Anyone in this business understands why spending time at your sewing machine is such a treat.  If only all there was to do was sew….(dreaming)

On the personal side of things I’ve been busy too.

Our little Miss Kendall had her 3rd birthday.  What?  How can she already be 3?  There was a fun Dora party. But Grandpa and I got to spend a day with her at Build-a-Bear and at Mall of America’s amusement park.  It was a fun, special day with a fun, special little girl!

Isn’t this a cute balloon wreath that my daughter-in-law, Annie, made for their front door?

I was lucky enough to get to go with my husband to St. Kitts.  He had meetings…I got to do, well…pretty much what I wanted.  It was a wonderful, much needed time together.  We played golf, swam in the ocean, went for walks on the beach, read: the typical vacation “stuff”.

One of the excursions was a sunset catamaran cruise.  It was a beautiful evening.

The tan is fading and my sewing studio is a messy disaster… life is good…I am blessed!

Until we chat again,
