Another branch of New Leaf Stitches

Ahhh…a great vacation!

We just got home from a wonderful vacation in Florida.  We started going down there when our boys played college baseball and have really grown to love it.  Who knows… maybe we will get to retire down there someday.

We were lucky to have our oldest son’s family with us for a few days.  Of course, Kendall was such a joy. Here she is blowing kisses at the pool.

She was keeping her mom, and everyone else, on the run!

These are some of my favorite pictures.  She was having so much fun helping Grandpa drive the boat.  She would look at him like they were the only two people in the world.  I wish you could of heard her giggles.  Priceless!

We spent some very relaxing time at…

the pool,

finding fun spots to eat,

and meeting up with some good friends (who happen to be Kendall’s other grandparents!).

I also was fortunate to spend the day at a great quilt shop in Bradenton called Cotton Patch Quilt Shop.  Laura put together a wonderful day where I was able to do demonstrations of the mitering technique and also show the Clearly Perfect Angles.   ultimate seam guide

Here are some “snowbirds” looking at the mitering technique.  They were so fun to visit with!!

Laura had a small trunk show of my quilts on display and also showed me “Snippets of Spring” that she had made up in her colors.

Thank you Laura, I had a great day!!

The warmth and sunshine was just divine!  Reality hit pretty hard when we landed back in Minnesota to new snow and cold! But, it just made me appreciate our time away all the more.  Did you get to go somewhere this winter??

The next post I hope will be more about getting ready for spring quilt market in Salt Lake City.

Think spring!!
